The Fifa World Cup is finally here, and like every 4 years, the world unites and celebrates what is considered the most popular spot on earth... soccer! There seems to be a some dispute, mainly on the USA about soccer and football. While the official name of the sport is "soccer" it is sometimes called "football" and like we all know on the USA football is generaly associated with the NFL.
The NFL has proven to be a huge success and a very popular and followed sport around the world, but we cannot deny soccers superiority. There are some people who think that NFL's influence is far more than the World Cup's. I strongly disagree.
The NFL is a USA based sport, while the World Cup involved almost EVERY country in the world. Soccer is easy to play, and much more simple to setup. I am impressed by the way this event moves the world, creates emotions, and build a great passion. Is the World Cup a social Phenomenom? Is is truly the worlds most popular sport?
